Justis Gipson

Justis is the Site Reliability Engineer at BookNook, where he's the solo SRE responsible for platform reliability. He planned and executed BookNook's migration to AWS, building the cloud environment from scratch. Before tech, he was a glassblower—doing furnace work, flame work, teaching. Both require precision and respect for what can go catastrophically wrong. His focus: seamless reliability, near-zero downtime, making hard problems invisible. When not keeping servers alive, he's somewhere in the mountains. Pronouns: he/him.
